Job summary

Horizon Village Campus in Sanborn, NY is seeking a part-time Behavioral Health Assistant to support adults with substance use disorders in a residential setting. The role includes hourly rounds for safety, room checks, toxicology screening, and coordinating activities to support recovery.

Candidates need an Associate’s degree with 1 year of behavioral health or healthcare experience, or a high school diploma with 2 years of relevant experience and a NYS driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or higher required with relevant behavioral health/healthcare experience.
• High School Diploma or equivalent with 2 years of behavioral health/healthcare work experience may be accepted.

Responsibilities

• Perform hourly building rounds to ensure patient safety.
• Complete room searches throughout the facility.
• Administer toxicology screenings.
• Supervise wellness and family group activities.
• Guide patients through the challenges of recovery.
• Transport patients to medical appointments or other facilities as needed.
