Job summary

UofL Health is seeking an Assessment Clinician I to evaluate individuals seeking behavioral health and substance use treatment, justify admission, and coordinate level of care with physicians and care teams. The role requires collaboration with the Assessment Referral Center and external agencies to ensure quality service.

Responsibilities include conducting insurance pre-certifications, documenting clinical findings, and supporting admissions across pediatric to geriatric populations.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Family and Marriage Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or related field required.
• One year of experience in mental health field; crisis intervention or assessment setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate individuals seeking behavioral health/substance use treatment and justify admission.
• Coordinate level of care with physicians and external agencies.
• Perform insurance pre-certifications and maintain documentation for treatment plans.
