Job summary

Riverwoods Behavioral Health System is seeking an Admissions RN to support our patients and ensure smooth admissions. We operate day shifts with 12-hour shifts, 6:45am to 6:45pm, full time, every other weekend. Join a dedicated team focused on quality outcomes and comprehensive benefits.

Requirements include an active RN license, CPR and de-escalation certifications, and first aid as applicable. This role offers opportunities for training and advancement within a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Nursing.
• At least 1 year of clinical or observational experience.
• Active RN license in the state.
• CPR and de-escalation/restraint certifications required; first aid may be required.

Responsibilities

• Review medical documentation for admissions and obtain admission orders.
• Facilitate emergency transfers for patients beyond the facility's capabilities.
• Review referrals from hospitals and assess medical/behavioral acuity.
• Respond to inquiries about the facility and provide appropriate information.
• Conduct assessments to determine level of care within the facility.
• Coordinate with medical/psychiatric staff to support admissions.
