Job summary

TEAMCare Behavioral Health in Lancaster County seeks a Behavioral Consultant to support children and families with data-driven treatment plans and crisis-ready routines. The role emphasizes collaboration with families, clinicians, and schools.

The position requires Act 33/34 and FBI clearances, and offers a sign-on bonus. Multiple work arrangements (FT and PT) available to fit community needs.

Qualifications

• Must have Act 33 and Act 34 clearances and FBI clearance.
• Graduate degree in psychology, social work, education, or counseling or related field; or ABA degree; or BCBA.
• Licensed as Behavior Specialist or BCBA certification is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Develop a treatment plan for child or adolescent with data integration from multiple sources.
• Direct treatment program including consultation/intervention with families and team members.
• Track client progress through data collection and charting of targeted behaviors and replacements.
• Determine clinical need for evaluations or services (psychiatric assessment, testing).
• Collaborate with family and professionals to implement daily routines and crisis planning.

Behavioral Consultant

The Behavioral Consultant (BC) will gather information on the antecedents, behaviors, and consequences in written format to identify treatment goals, determine the type of behavioral intervention needed, and design behavior modification plans that are strength-based, non-aversive, and respect the social-cultural background of the client and family.

Responsibilities

• Develop a treatment plan for child or adolescent involving data integration from multiple sources with regular, data-driven updates
• Direct treatment program including consultation/intervention utilizing behavioral management techniques, regular meetings, and consultation with client, family, and other treatment team members
• Track client progress through organization, review, and charting of data collected by treatment team members regarding frequency, intensity, and duration of targeted behaviors and positive replacement behaviors
• Determine clinical necessity for special evaluations and services such as medication needs assessment by a psychiatrist, psychological testing, or other services
• Collaborate with child/adolescent, family, and other involved professionals to develop daily routines for implementation during times of crisis and transition as well as a 24-hour crisis plan

• Proficiency in Excel, MS Word, and ability to learn and efficiently utilize computer applications (i.e., EMR)
• Must possess or have ability to obtain Act 33, Act 34, and FBI clearances
• Education:
• minimum of 1 year of full-time experience in providing direct mental health services to children, youth or young adults and a graduate degree in psychology, social work, education, or counseling; OR
• completed a clinical or mental health direct service practicum and have a graduate degree in psychology, social work, education, counseling or a related field; OR
• graduate degree in ABA; OR
• be licensed in this Commonwealth as a Behavior Specialist; OR
• have a certification as a BCBA
• Valid PA Driver's license and active car insurance
