Job summary

Horry County Schools is seeking a Behavioral Coach - Special Education to support school staff in delivering behavioral supports for students with autism spectrum disorders in the least restrictive environment. The role reports to the Special Education Coordinator and focuses on coaching, data-driven strategies, and IEP support.

Responsibilities include planning, creating behavior plans, conducting FBA/FBAs, and delivering professional development to staff across the district.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
• BCaBA certification preferred.
• Minimum 3 years experience with autism spectrum disorders.
• Experience in an educational setting preferred.
• Alternative qualifications may be considered as appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning and oversight of behavioral programs and best practices for students with autism and other disabilities.
• Provide functional behavioral analysis and assessments for individual students.
• Develop and support behavior plans and related services for students with autism and/or behavior challenges.
• Participate in IEP teams providing support and management for behavior plan implementation.
• Provide coaching on data collection, analysis and behavioral interventions to staff.
• Manage student data and prepare pertinent reports.
• Deliver professional learning on evidence-based methodologies to school personnel.
• Monitor performance of Behavioral Lead Paraprofessionals and other staff.
