Job summary

Children's of Alabama in Birmingham is seeking a Behavioral Associate to provide constant supervision and oversight of patients with diverse mental, emotional or developmental conditions. The role operates on a day shift with three twelve-hour shifts weekly.

You will engage in hands-on disengagement and engagement, use computer systems for patient records and reports, and hold essential certifications such as BLS; CPI certification is optional.

Qualifications

• Essential: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Essential: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Nonessential: Crisis Prevention and Intervention Certification.
• Lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical disengagement/engagement as needed.

Responsibilities

Work schedule will be Full-time on the Day Shift shift, 3 twelve hour shifts a week, rotating weekends.

Summary:
The Behavioral Associate is responsible for providing constant supervision and oversight of patients with diverse mental, emotional or developmental conditions

Other information:

• Lift up to fifty (50) pounds and apply physical effort when necessary, including evidence based hands-on disengagement and engagement skills.
• BCLS, CPI, Equipment/Work Aides: Computer, Patient Records, Reports

Credentials with Equivalent Qualifications:
Essential:

• Basic Life Support
