Job summary

BEAM is seeking a part-time, on-site Behavioral Aide in Hacienda Heights/La Puente, CA to support students with special needs during school hours. The role involves direct student support, implementing activities planned by district staff, assisting with instructional materials, and maintaining an organized classroom.

Responsibilities include promoting a positive learning environment, applying behavior management techniques, assisting with assessments and observations, and supporting classroom

Qualifications

• Ability to understand and anticipate the needs of children.
• Ability to operate classroom technology equipment.
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with children and adults.
• Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality.
• Ability to support academic skills (reading and math).
• Ability to communicate orally with proper language usage.

• Participate in activities planned by school district staff.
• Assist in development of instructional training materials.
