Job summary

An established industry player is seeking a compassionate Youth Behavioral Aide to support at-risk children and youth in the North Hills area. This role involves providing essential supervision and guidance in Foster Care Homes, helping youths with their schoolwork, and fostering positive interactions. The ideal candidate will have experience with at-risk populations and be flexible in their availability, as evening and weekend hours are required. Our client is seeking a Youth Behavioral Aide in the North Hills area.
AVAILABLE HOURS
  • Long term independent contractor or Part-time shifts
  • Evening and weekend hours
SUMMARY OF CLIENT'S DESCRIPTION OF THIS OPPORTUNITY
  • Provide services for high and at-risk children and youth with behavior and/or mental health challenges
  • Majority of work will be in Foster Care Homes, under the direction of caregiver/foster parent
  • Engage with the youths. Assist with schoolwork and ask about their life (likes or dislikes)
  • Provide line of sight supervision without overwhelming the child
  • Redirect negative and problematic behaviors
CLIENT'S REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
  • Experience working with at-risk individuals (paid or unpaid)
  • Produce current medical/health documents including: physical examination, Tuberculosis/TB Skin Test, CPR, and First Aid certification
  • High School diploma or higher
  • Qualified applications with arrest or conviction records will be considered for employment in accordance with the Los Angeles Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers and the California Fair Chance Act.
