Job summary

Highfields Inc in Lansing, MI is seeking a Behavior Treatment Specialist to support the Ingham Academy and Horizon Programs. You will engage with students, serve as a positive role model, and help them maximize strengths through structured group activities, recreational therapy, and study hours.

Hours are 12:00 PM to 8:30 PM, Monday–Friday. This full-time position offers 4 weeks of PTO, 11 holidays plus personal days, insurance options, 401(k), training opportunities, and a pathway to leadership

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and solid history working with students.
• Ability to supervise and engage students in structured activities.
• Valid Driver's License or reliable means of transportation.

Responsibilities

• Engage with students through planned group activities and therapeutic sessions.
• Provide supervision and support to help students achieve educational goals.
• Collaborate with staff to implement structured programs.

Salary Range: $36,400.00 To $41,600.00 Annually

The Behavior Treatment Specialist supports the Ingham Academy and Horizon Programs by engaging with students, being a positive role model, helping them to maximize their strengths, build assets, receive a solid educational foundation, and achieve successful community-based living. You will work directly with students through regularly planned, structured group activities such as recreational therapy, special development groups, and study hours. Your hours would be 12:00 PM to 8:30 PM, Monday through Friday.

Travel Requirement:

Daily travel includes transporting students to and from Ingham Academy, appointments, and/or other activities if needed. Chauffeur's license required, or must have ability to obtain. Highfields will reimburse to obtain.
