Job summary

Soar Autism Center in Baltimore is seeking Behavior Technicians to provide one-on-one, play-based ABA therapy for children ages 2–6, using the ESDM approach and under supervision of Master’s-level clinicians.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, experience with children, and are able to obtain RBT certification within six weeks. The role offers paid training, on‑the‑job development, a guaranteed minimum of 30 hours per week, and competitive hourly pay.

At Soar Autism Center, Behavior Technicians help children ages 2–6 with autism learn, communicate, and grow through play. Our care is based on the Early Start Denver Model (ESDM), a play-based approach to Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). This is a great early career opportunity to build hands-on experience in psychology and child development while making a meaningful impact every day.

This role is ideal for candidates who are passionate about helping children grow and may come from childcare, daycare, paraprofessional, direct support, behavioral health, education, or caregiving backgrounds.

What We Offer

• $21.50 - $28.50/hour; initial offers are typically $21.50–$22.75/hour, with regular bonus and promotion opportunities. Sign on bonus included with all offers.

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent required (as verified by resume, application, or BACB attestation for RBT certification); preference for enrollment in or completion of a bachelor’s degree program, with ideal candidates pursuing degrees in child development, psychology, education, or a related field.
• Experience working with children is preferred, including childcare, daycare, caregiving, paraprofessional, direct support, or behavioral health experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain RBT certification within 6 weeks of employment.
• Reliable transportation, punctuality, teamwork, and comfort using computers/tablets.
• Ability to sit, stand, kneel, move quickly, occasionally run short distances, and lift up to 50 lbs.
