Job summary

Autism 360 is hiring Behavior Technicians (BTs) and Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) to work one‑on‑one with children with autism in Gastonia, NC. Paid training provided, with a Monday–Friday schedule and 30+ hours per week.

Compensation ranges from $18–$27 per hour, plus bonus opportunities and comprehensive benefits. You will be part of a supportive team, working under BCBA guidance to build communication, social, and daily living skills, while tracking progress and celebrating

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Able to complete required background and employment screenings.
• Comfortable sitting on the floor, standing, walking, running when needed, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
• No ABA experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide engaging, one‑on‑one ABA therapy.
• Help children develop communication and social skills.
• Build independence with daily routines and activities.
• Use play and activities to work toward individualized goals.
• Track progress using electronic data systems.
• Work closely with BCBAs and the Autism 360 team.
• Celebrate small wins that lead to big milestones.

What You’ll Do

As a Behavior Technician, you’ll be part teacher, coach, cheerleader, play partner, and skill-builder.

Working one‑on‑one with children and under the guidance of a BCBA, you’ll:

• Provide engaging, one‑on‑one ABA therapy

• Help children develop communication and social skills

• Build independence with everyday routines and activities

• Use play and activities to work toward individualized goals

• Track progress using electronic data systems

• Work closely with BCBAs and your Autism 360 team

• Celebrate the small wins that lead to BIG milestones

This is an active, hands‑on job. Some days you may be playing on the floor, running around, singing songs, practicing life skills, or helping a child learn a brand‑new way to communicate.

Experience in childcare, daycare, education, special education, healthcare, behavioral health, camps, coaching, or working with children with special needs is a plus—but ABA experience is not required.

What You’ll Need

A high school diploma or equivalent and reliable transportation are required. Candidates must also be able to complete required background and employment screenings.

Because this is an active role working directly with children, you’ll need to be comfortable sitting on the floor, standing, walking, running when needed, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
