Job summary

Ro Health, LLC is seeking a Behavior Technician to support students in public school settings in Oakland, Hayward, and East Bay communities. You will implement individualized behavioral interventions and work closely with the clinical team.

You will collect data, assist with routines, and participate in ongoing training to support students with autism and developmental disabilities throughout the 2026-27 school year.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1 year as a Behavior Technician required.
  • Preferred: 1 year experience in ABA.

Responsibilities

  • Implement evidence-based ABA techniques tailored to each student’s plan.
  • Collect and record data on behaviors, progress, and responses.
  • Communicate with staffing team and clinical supervisors.
  • Assist with hygiene routines and related tasks.
  • Support students during classroom activities and social interactions.
  • Participate in ongoing training on behavioral health and ASD.

Job description

Join our Ro Health Team as a Behavior Technician working within a public school setting in Oakland, Hayward, and surrounding East Bay communities! In this vital role, you will support students with developmental disabilities, including autism, by implementing individualized behavioral interventions and therapeutic strategies. This position will start in August and continue during the 2026-27 school year.

Duties
  • Implement evidence-based behavioral therapy techniques, including applied behavior analysis (ABA), tailored to each student’s individualized plan.
  • Collect and accurately and consistently record data on student behaviors, progress, and responses to interventions.
  • Priortize communication with our staffing team and clinical supervisors.
  • Assist with hygiene care, toileting, daipering, and support with hygiene routines.
  • Support students during classroom activities, social interactions, and daily routines to promote engagement and skill development.
  • Participate in ongoing training related to behavioral health, medical terminology, special education practices, and autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
Skills
  • Strong understanding of behavioral therapy principles and applied behavior analysis (ABA).
  • Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities or autism.
  • Ability to support with combative, aggressive, and moderate/severe behaviors.
  • Ability to collect detailed data accurately during therapy sessions and classroom activities.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA regulations ensuring confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams including educators and healthcare providers.
