Job summary

Ability Builders is seeking compassionate Behavior Technicians to join our growing ABA team in clinic and home settings. You will support clients with communication, social, and daily living skills under the supervision of on-site BCBAs, while building valuable clinical experience.

The role emphasizes data collection, client-centered care, and collaboration with families and a supportive clinical team to make a real difference for individuals with developmental needs.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's degree in psychology, education, social work, or related field preferred.
  • Must obtain Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification within 90 days of employment; paid training and support provided.
  • Reliable transportation is required for in-home services.

Responsibilities

  • Implement individualized behavior support and treatment plans under the direction of a supervising BCBA.
  • Provide 1:1 and small-group ABA services in clinic and/or home settings.
  • Build positive, meaningful relationships with clients and families.
  • Collect accurate data during sessions to monitor progress and support treatment decisions.
  • Follow clinical guidance and communicate regularly with supervising BCBAs.
  • Provide feedback regarding client progress, barriers, and areas of need.
  • Maintain a professional, compassionate, and respectful approach with clients, caregivers, and team members.
  • Follow all safety, clinical, and organizational policies and procedures.

About Us

We are seeking compassionate, energetic, and motivated Behavior Technicians to join our growing team. We provide high-quality ABA services in both clinic and home-based settings, supporting children, adolescents, and individuals of all ages with a wide range of needs. Here, our RBTs are supported by on-site BCBAs and a collaborative clinical team. We work with individuals with a variety of behavioral and developmental needs, including high-magnitude behaviors, giving our team members the opportunity to build meaningful clinical experience while making a real difference in the lives of the individuals and families we serve.

What You'll Do

As a Behavior Technician, you will work directly with clients to help them develop communication, social, daily living, and other important skills while supporting the reduction of challenging behaviors.

  • Implement individualized behavior support and treatment plans under the direction of a supervising BCBA
  • Provide 1:1 and small-group ABA services in clinic and/or home settings
  • Build positive, meaningful relationships with clients and families
  • Collect accurate data during sessions to monitor progress and support treatment decisions
  • Follow clinical guidance and communicate regularly with supervising BCBAs

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor's degree in psychology, education, social work, or a related field preferred
  • Previous experience working with children, individuals with disabilities, or in human services is preferred but not required
  • Must obtain Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification within 90 days of employment; paid training and support are provided
  • Reliable transportation is required for positions providing in-home services
  • RBTs do have 120 hours of PTO after a 90 day probationary period (60 hours for part time staff)
