Job summary

RightWay ABA in New Jersey is seeking a part-time Behavior Technician (BT) to support in-home and center-based therapy for children aged 2-18. The role operates Monday through Friday, 5pm–7pm, delivering ABA plans under BCBA supervision.

You will collect real-time progress data, help children build communication and daily living skills, and collaborate with BCBAs and caregivers. Ethical conduct and confidentiality are essential.

RightWay ABA offers training and support for a Behavior Technician (BT) to become a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)

Behavior Technician (BT) Duties and Responsibilities

Monday through Friday 5pm-7pm

Direct Client Support

• Implement individualized ABA treatment plans created by a BCBA.
• Teach communication, social, daily living, and play skills.
• Use reinforcement strategies to increase desired behaviors.
• Implement behavior‑reduction plans to address challenging behaviors.
• Collect accurate, real‑time data on client progress.

Session Preparation & Documentation

• Prepare materials needed for therapy sessions.
• Maintain detailed session notes and documentation according to company and insurance standards.
• Track skill acquisition and behavior trends using data‑collection software.

Collaboration & Communication

• Communicate regularly with supervising BCBAs about client progress and challenges.
• Participate in team meetings, trainings, and supervision sessions.
• Provide feedback to caregivers when appropriate and under BCBA guidance.

Professional Conduct

• Follow ethical guidelines set by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
• Uphold client confidentiality and professional boundaries.
