Job summary

Step Up Family Services LLC is seeking a part-time Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) / Behavior Technician (BT) to implement ABA programs for children with ASD in home settings. The role operates under direct BCBA supervision and emphasizes data collection, skill-building, and safety.

You will work in in-home and center-based settings, travel to client homes as needed, and participate in ongoing training and supervision to support RBT certification and professional growth.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Education, or related field preferred
• RBT certification preferred but not required at time of hire; required within 90 days if applicable
• Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities preferred
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel to client homes or centers as needed
• Must pass background checks, including criminal history and abuse registry screenings
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and to sit on the floor for extended periods
• In-home and/or center-based settings
• Supervised regularly by a BCBA through direct observation, consultation, and performance feedback

Responsibilities

• Deliver 1:1 ABA therapy under the supervision of the BCBA and according to individualized treatment plans
• Record and maintain accurate data on client progress using electronic data collection systems
• Implement skill acquisition programs focusing on communication, social, adaptive, and academic behaviors
• Follow and apply behavior reduction protocols as designed by the BCBA
• Assist with generalization of skills across environments and people
• Provide reinforcement, prompting, and other ABA techniques per the treatment plan
• Maintain professional and ethical conduct under BACB guidelines
• Participate in ongoing training, supervision, and team meetings
• Communicate effectively with clients, families, and the clinical team
• Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of clients at all times

Position Summary

The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or Behavior Technician (BT) is responsible for implementing individualized Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) programs for children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other developmental disabilities. Services are provided under the direct supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in home and/or center-based settings.

Key Responsibilities

• Record and maintain accurate data on client progress using electronic data collection systems
