Job summary

Merakey is seeking a dedicated direct support professional in the United States to review and implement IEPs or treatment plans, perform timely data collection, and collaborate with families and the care team.

You will provide behavioral and, when trained, physical interventions as needed, monitor client progress with accurate data, assist with daily living activities, follow behavior plans, attend supervision, and uphold Merakey's mission and values.

As a member of our team, the Behavior Technician provides one-on-one support and assistance to assigned client(s)/student(s). This could include support and assistance in the use of medical equipment and/or daily activities. A Behavior Technician may provide support to more than one client/student, but not at the same time.

• Review and implement IEP or treatment plan
• Complete timely ongoing data collection, including parent/staff correspondence and all required documentation
• Collaborate with families and team for continuity of care
• Provide behavioral interventions and physical interventions as needed. Physical interventions may range from simple prompting and/or guided transport up to, and including, physical restraint of client. Interventions vary based on program regulations and appropriate training is provided based on same.
• Monitor client performance and record relevant data to assess progress.
• Accompany and assist client(s)/student(s) with activities and daily living which may include assisting with toileting and grooming.
• Implement and follow through with client/student behavior plan as well as individualized reinforcement systems for individual client assigned.
• Complete required trainings as assigned
• Attend required supervisions and meetings
• Uphold the company mission and core values.
