Job summary

Bierman Autism Centers is seeking a Behavior Technician to provide 1:1 ABA therapy for children aged 2-12. You will follow behavior support plans, collect data, and document progress while communicating with families under the supervision of a BCBA.

Ideal candidates are pursuing psychology or behavior sciences, with willingness to participate in on‑site trainings and advance to RBT or BCBA roles within the organization.

Qualifications

• Experience or education in psychology or behavior sciences.
• Ability to lift and assist with clients over 30 pounds (as required).
• Willingness to complete required trainings and follow BACB guidelines.
• Strong data collection and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct 1:1 ABA therapy sessions with clients.
• Follow prescribed skill acquisition and behavior support plans.
• Collect and record data, and write therapy notes for each session.
• Communicate progress with parents and caregivers under BCBA guidance.
• Assist the BCBA in preparing and organizing client materials.
• Attend required trainings to maintain knowledge of BACB guidelines.
• Work toward becoming a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT).
• Foster a positive and collaborative team environment.

Your Daily Adventures as a Behavior Technician:

• Conduct 1:1 therapy with clients (your future BFFs!)

Requirements

Behavior Technician (RBT) Basic & Essential Functions:

• Must be able to lift and carry clients who are least 30 pounds
• Must be willing and able to restrain/hold/transport and utilize quick body movements as indicated in the Behavior Support Plan in the course of working with children with challenging behavior
• Must be able to assume and maintain a variety of postures including kneeling, squatting, crouching, crawling, sitting, standing, bending, for extended periods of time.
