Job summary

ABA Centers of Connecticut is seeking part-time Behavior Technicians (BT) to deliver Applied Behavior Analysis therapy in client homes and school settings across Bridgeport, Stratford, Trumbull and surrounding CT areas. The role supports BCBA supervision, with paid training and clear career pathways.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and be available Monday–Friday after 3:30 PM, with potential weekend hours.

• Reliable transportation with valid license and insurance is required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver ABA therapy in homes, schools, communities, clinics, or other venues as needed.
• Teach communication, social, and daily living skills.
• Implement individualized treatment plans under BCBA supervision.
• Track progress and maintain quality by documenting session data.
• Collaborate with BCBAs, team members, and families; participate in meetings and training.
• Provide administrative and clinical support as needed.

*Required availability: Monday–Friday, 3:30 PM - 7:00 PM; potential Saturdays and/or Sundays, 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM

RBT: Starting rate of $24.60 per hour.

BT: Starting rate of $22.25 per hour.

*Final compensation determined by experience, training, and education.

*** Referral Bonus $500 for a RBT

What You’ll Do

Direct Client Support

• Deliver ABA therapy in homes, schools, communities, clinics, or other venues depending on client needs
• Teach communication, social, and daily living skills
• Implement individualized treatment plans under BCBA supervision
• Track Progress & Maintain Quality
• Collect, organize, and document session data accurately

Collaborate & Communicate

• Work closely with BCBAs, team members, and families
• Participating in team meetings and ongoing training

Support Operations

• Assist with administrative and clinical support tasks as needed

What We’re Looking For

Required

• High school diploma or GED
• Availability during mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Reliable transportation with valid driver’s license and insurance
• Ability to pass background checks, drug screening, and driving record review

Preferred

• Experience in childcare, education, or related fields
• Experience working with children or adolescents
• Prior exposure to ABA services

Position-Specific Items

• Behavior Technician (BT): Complete a 40-hour paid training program over 2 consecutive weeks (at the same rate of pay), followed by precepting (hands‑on supervision), and pass the RBT exam within 45 days (up to 3 weeks total)
• Registered Behavior Technician (RBT): Active certification in good standing; 1 week of paid training followed by precepting (hands‑on supervision) (up to 2 weeks total)
• Training availability (BT / RBT): Must be available Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM
