Job summary

ABA Centers of New Jersey, LLC is hiring Part-Time Behavior Technicians in Edison, NJ to deliver ABA therapy in homes, schools, and clinics. Starting pay is $24.60/hr for RBTs and $22.25/hr for BTs, with final compensation based on experience, training, and education.

Position requires afternoon/evening/some weekend hours and a commitment to growth through our ABA Academy of Excellence. We provide paid training, mentorship, and clear pathways for advancement, plus collaboration with BCBA

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Availability during afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Reliable transportation with valid driver's license and insurance.
• Ability to pass background checks, drug screening, and driving record review.
• NJ candidates must be 21+ years old and have 1 year of relevant experience.

Requirements

What We're Looking For

Required

• High school diploma or equivalent


• Availability during afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays


• Reliable transportation with valid driver's license and insurance


• Ability to pass background checks, drug screening, and driving record review


• NJ candidates must be at least 21 years of age and have a minimum of 1 year of experience working with children, in healthcare, or in a related field.

Position-Specific

• Behavior Technician (BT): Complete a 40-hour paid training program over 2 consecutive weeks (at the same rate of pay), followed by precepting (hands-on supervision), and pass the RBT exam within 45 days (up to 3 weeks total)


• Registered Behavior Technician (RBT): Active certification in good standing; 1 week of paid training followed by precepting (hands-on supervision) (up to 2 weeks total)


• Training availability (BT / RBT): Must be available Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM

Preferred

• Experience in childcare, education, or related fields


• Experience working with children or adolescents


• Prior exposure to ABA services
