Job summary
ABA Centers of New Jersey is seeking a full-time Behavior Technician (BT) to deliver ABA therapy and support clients in homes, schools, and clinics. Starting rates are $22.25/hour for BTs and $24.60/hour for RBTs, with final compensation based on experience and education.
Role includes paid training, mentorship, and a clear path toward RBT certification through our ABA Academy of Excellence. Candidates should have a high school diploma and be available Monday–Friday with some weekend shifts.

- 6+ months of relevant experience preferred.
- Availability during afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Reliable transportation with valid driver’s license and insurance.

- 6+ months of relevant experience (including internships or related roles)
- Availability during afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Reliable transportation with valid driver’s license and insurance
- Ability to pass background checks, drug screening, and driving record review
- NJ candidates must be at least 21 years of age and have a minimum of 1 year of experience working with children, in healthcare, or in a related field.
- Behavior Technician (BT): Complete a 40-hour paid training program over 2 consecutive weeks (at the same rate of pay), followed by precepting (hands‑on supervision), and pass the RBT exam within 45 days (up to 3 weeks total)
- Registered Behavior Technician (RBT): Active certification in good standing; 1 week of paid training followed by precepting (hands‑on supervision) (up to 2 weeks total)
- Training availability (BT / RBT): Must be available Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM
- Experience in childcare, education, or related fields
- Experience working with children or adolescents
- Prior exposure to ABA services
