Job summary

New Story Schools is seeking a Special Education Paraprofessional to work alongside teachers to support students’ academic, behavioral, and daily living goals.

You will provide direct support, practice patience, and encourage students aged 5–21 with autism and related challenges to succeed through individualized learning and therapeutic collaboration.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• At least three months of experience supporting individuals with learning or behavioral disabilities.
• Knowledge of behavior management and classroom support strategies.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to stay calm and consistent during challenging situations.

• Implement IEPs and Positive Behavior Support Plans under teacher guidance
• Assist students with transitions, activities, and personal care as needed
