Overview

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Behavior Technicians. As a Behavior Technician, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children with autism. In this role, you will work one-on-one with children, implementing individualized behavior intervention plans under the guidance of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). You will use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing interfering behaviors. At the end of each day, you will go home knowing that you have made a meaningful impact on the life of a child and their family.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children under the guidance of a BCBA to implement individualized behavior intervention plans.
• Use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills and to reduce interfering behaviors.
• Collaborate with a dedicated team and participate in ongoing training and professional development.
• Support children in typical daily activities as part of therapy sessions and activities.

Qualifications

• 18+ years of age
• High school diploma or GED
• Passionate about helping children with autism; patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team
• Ability to obtain CPR and First Aid Certification and a Tuberculosis test (if you haven’t had one in the last year)
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check
• Ability to move in various positions (sit, squat, bend, etc.) and lift/carry up to 50 pounds
• Candidates must obtain a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Certification after completing onboarding

Pay

$16 - $19 per hour
