Job summary

Soar Autism Center is seeking a Behavior Technician to provide one-on-one ABA therapy for children aged 2-6 in our clinic, using the ESDM model. You will implement plans from Masters-level clinicians and collaborate with families to monitor progress.

Ideal candidates will pursue or have a degree in Child Development or Psychology, and you will work on RBT certification with supported training. Full-time hours and career growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; verified by resume or BACB attestation for RBT.
• Advantage: enrolled in or completed degree program (Child Development/Psychology preferred).
• Must obtain and maintain RBT certification within 6 weeks; paid training provided.
• RBT certification required for CO Springs location.
• Experience with children and enjoyment of working with kids.
• Reliable transportation to training location and local center; punctuality essential.
• Must meet physical requirements: sit/stand, lift up to 50 lbs, move freely.
• Computer and tablet literacy; able to work on a team.

Job description

At Soar Autism Center, we are dedicated to enhancing the lives of children on the autism spectrum. Our methods draw from the principles of the Early Start Denver Model (ESDM), a play-based form of Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) therapy. Key Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one ABA therapy to children aged 2-6 in our clinic, adhering to the profession's high standards
• Implement intervention plans crafted by our expert Masters-level clinicians, ensuring alignment with Applied Behavioral Analysis therapy principles
• Foster relationships with families, consistently updating them on their child's progress within the ABA framework
• Engage in ongoing training and development, keeping up-to-date with advancements in ABA therapy and RBT certification

Qualifications

• High school diploma, or equivalent, is required (as verified by resume, application, or BACB attestation for RBT certification)
• Strong preference for either enrollment in or completion of a degree program. Bonus for degrees in Child Development, Psychology, or related fields
• Ability to achieve and maintain RBT certification within first 6 weeks of employment (Soar will provide paid training)
• RBT certification required for CO Springs location
• Previous experience with children and enjoyment working with children
• Must have reliable transportation to both training location and local center. Punctuality is essential
• Must be able to meet the following physical requirements: sit and stand frequently, shift positions quickly, lift up to 50 lbs., sit/kneel on the floor for extended periods of time, sit in a chair, stand, walk, and occasionally run short distances to catch up with a client
• Computer and tablet literacy
• Ability to work on a team

• $21.50 - $28.50/hour with regular bonus and promotion opportunities. The initial offer hourly pay will be between $21.50 - $22.75. All staff members are considered every 3 months for a raise or promotion
