Job summary

United Therapy Center (UTC) is seeking a part-time Behavior Technician to support individuals with autism and developmental disabilities. You will implement BIPs, use ABA strategies like DTT, and track progress with daily notes. The role offers paid training, flexible scheduling, and opportunities for growth.

You will collaborate with BCBA supervisors, therapists, and families to ensure consistent intervention while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism. Training is provided.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• RBT certification preferred but not required.
• Experience with autism or developmental disabilities preferred.
• Pass background check and TB test required.
• Reliable transportation to client locations required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement Behavior Plans: Follow BIPs developed by supervising BCBA.
• Apply behavioral strategies such as DTT, Naturalistic Teaching and Reinforcement.
• Accurately collect data and submit session notes per UTC policies.
• Provide positive reinforcement and professional communication to clients.
• Collaborate with BCBAs, therapists, and caregivers for consistency.
• Address challenging behaviors per plans and training.
• Maintain confidentiality and professional conduct under HIPAA.
• Engage in ongoing training and continuing education.

What You’ll Do

• Implement Behavior Plans: Follow individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) developed by the supervising BCBA.
• Behavioral Support Strategies: Utilize behavior-analytic strategies such as Discrete Trial Training (DTT), Naturalistic Teaching, and Reinforcement Techniques to support clients.
• Data Collection & Documentation: Accurately track client progress and submit session notes in compliance with UTC policies.
• Client Engagement: Provide positive reinforcement and professional communication to encourage skill development and behavior improvement.
• Collaboration: Work closely with BCBAs, therapists, and caregivers to ensure consistency in intervention across all settings.
• Challenging Behaviors: Manage and address challenging behaviors according to individualized behavior plans and training.
• Confidentiality & Professionalism: Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain the highest standards of professional and ethical conduct.
• Ongoing Training: Participate in required training and continuing education opportunities to improve skills and knowledge.

Monday to Friday andWeekends as needed

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED (Required)
• Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification (Preferred, but not required)
• Experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities (Preferred)
• Ability to pass a background check and TB test (Required)
• Reliable transportation to client locations (Required)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
