Job summary

Nexus Therapies LLC in Fairfield, CA is seeking a part-time behavior therapist to provide intensive behavioral intervention services to children with Autism and related delays. You will deliver direct therapy in both individual and group sessions and maintain accurate program documentation.

Workload will be set by the Clinical Team with a 12:00–8:00 PM Monday–Friday schedule and occasional Saturdays. Traveling between client locations and maintaining professional confidentiality are required.

Qualifications

• RBT certification and ABA knowledge are required.
• Understanding of DTT, PECS, PRT, and ABA strategies.
• Ability to work with children with Autism and developmental delays.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct therapy in individual and group sessions.
• Complete weekly program writing and maintain client's program book.
• Collaborate with Clinical Team to implement individualized goals.
• Follow treatment plans as written by Clinical Manager.
• Document data accurately and communicate progress with supervisors.

Summary

Responsiblefor providing intensivebehavioralinterventionservices to clients with Autism Spectrum Disorder and otherdevelopmental delays in language, cognitive,adaptivebehavior, social-emotional, self-care, fine motor,gross motor and communication development. The behaviortherapist is ultimately responsible for direct delivery of thebehavioral services to the children and families, as well asaccurate record-keeping of case notes and excellentcommunication with supervising BCABA or BCBA about the programand the progress of thebehaviorservice plans. TheRBT maintains a weekly billable caseload of service hours asdirected.

Essential Functions

• Providedirect therapy in individual and group sessions.

Requirements

Required Education andExperience:

• High School Degree
  
• Anassociate's degree or Bachelor's degree in the areasof applied behavior analysis, marriage and family therapy,child development, special education, psychology, or relatedfield.
  
• RBTCertification.
  
• Demonstratea thorough understanding of DTT, PECS, PRT, and other ABAstrategies.
  
• Abilityto stand and circulate for extended periods oftime.
  
• Abilityto see for purposes of reading laws and codes, rules andpolicies, and other printed matter and observingstudents.
  
• Abilityto hear and understand speech at normal speech levels, in theEnglish language.
  
• Abilityto communicate so others will be able to understand normalconversation clearly.
  
• Abilityto lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
  
• Adaptto manage moderate to high-stress levels.
  
• Workfluctuates between a clinical, office, and homeenvironment.

Position Type/Expected Hours ofWork

Thisis a part-time position. Days and hours of work are Mondaythrough Friday, with some weekends as needed; hours willfluctuate based onworkloadand client schedule.Occasional weekend work will be required based on clientneeds.

Monday- Friday hours available 12 pm to 8pm.

Saturday - 10 am to 6 pm
