Job summary

Dixon Unified School District is seeking an in-house Behavior Intervention Consultant to support staff and families in developing and implementing comprehensive behavior intervention plans for students with ASD and related disorders. Under the direct supervision of the Director of Special Education, the role also supervises instructional assistants on caseload.

This internal position is available only to current district employees.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Applied behavior sciences, psychology and education including ASD and related disorders.
• Experience supervising instructional assistants and staff working with students with behavior plans.
• Ability to coordinate and plan with families, staff and administration to implement behavior intervention plans.

Responsibilities

• Provide supportive consulting to assist staff and families in development and implementation of comprehensive behavior intervention plans for students.
• Monitor, supervise and evaluate instructional assistants who work with students with behavior plans on caseload.

Under the direct supervision of the Director of Special Education or designee, plans, organizes, coordinates, supervises and is responsible for providing supportive consulting services to assist staff and families in the development and implementation of comprehensive behavior intervention plans for students. Yhe employee in this classification trans, monitors, supervises and evaluates those instructional Assisstants who deal with students with behavior plans on his/her caseload.-requires knowlege of Applied behavior sciences, psychology, anbd education includiing ASD and other related disorders.
