BEHAVIOR SPECIALIST – Laraway School

We're looking for a dedicated, experienced, and dependable BEHAVIOR SPECIALIST to add to our Laraway School Team. As a Behavior Specialist, you will be part of the team supporting and training behavioral staff on the implementation of individual student treatment plans and tracking progress.

• Developing/maintaining healthy relationships
• Training and supervision of team members
• Coordinating student plan changes and implementation within a similar setting
• Creating timely, accurate documentation
• Leading and participation in meetings

Qualifications, Education, and Other Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field of study
• Minimum 2 years similar job experience with at-risk youth
• Schedule: 7:45 a.m. – 3:45 p.m., Monday through Friday (firm)
• Driver’s license with a clear driving record

Work/Physical Requirements

• Given the at-risk population served, the position requires ongoing training and preparedness in the execution of physical restraint techniques. This may require running to catch a child. The “Handle with Care” training program articulates that individuals with back and neck limitations are likely to be hampered in the execution of the protocols and greatly increases risk to harm to self or student.
• Ability to engage youth in physical activities such as hiking, outdoor sports, etc.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Job Type: Full-time. $24.18 - $32.99 hourly, depending on training, education, experience.
