Job summary

River Oaks Homecare is seeking a compassionate Behavior Specialist to provide in-home and community-based behavioral support for adults with disabilities across Pennsylvania. The role emphasizes person-centered planning, collaboration with families and home health staff, and adherence to DHS/OLTL guidelines.

The ideal candidate will conduct FBAs, develop PBSPs, coach staff, and implement crisis-safe interventions while promoting independence, dignity, and quality of life for clients in familiar

Qualifications

• Conduct Functional Behavioral Assessments to identify function, triggers and environmental factors.
• Develop and monitor individualized Positive Behavior Support Plans with measurable goals.
• Collaborate with Service Coordinators, caregivers, families and staff to align interventions with ISP.
• Provide coaching to the interdisciplinary team to ensure consistent implementation.

Responsibilities

• Perform Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBA) to identify function and environment.
• Create and execute PBSPs with specific goals and proactive strategies.
• Collaborate with care teams to align interventions with ISP.
• Deliver training to staff on behavioral strategies to ensure consistency.
• Establish crisis prevention and safety protocols using least restrictive interventions.
• Maintain compliant progress notes and documentation per DHS/OLTL regulations.
