Job summary

LEARN Academy is seeking a FACS Behavior Interventionist to provide direct school-based services aligned with each student’s plan. You will collect data, implement supports, and collaborate with the team to help students participate safely in daily routines.

Preferred candidates will demonstrate calmness under pressure, willingness to learn, and strong relationships with students and staff. Training is provided, and the role supports diverse learners across schools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is required.
• Experience with students and challenging behaviors preferred.
• Crisis intervention experience preferred.
• Ability to complete Live Scan and TB testing.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct behavior intervention services in a school setting.
• Collect and document behavior data accurately.
• Use de-escalation, pre-crisis, crisis, and post-crisis interventions as trained.
• Implement reinforcement and cognitive restructuring strategies.
• Attend training, supervision, and mentor meetings.
• Support daily routines related to hygiene and toileting when needed.

Overview

As a FACS Behavior Interventionist, you’ll provide direct school-based services by following each student’s individualized assessment and intervention plan. You’ll collect data, implement behavior supports, communicate with your team, and help students participate safely and successfully in daily routines.

What You Have

High school diploma

Experience working with students and challenging behaviors preferred

Crisis intervention experience preferred

Ability to complete Live Scan requirements

Ability to complete TB testing

Ability to meet the physical and safety requirements of the role
