WellPower in Denver is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician I (BHTI) to provide direct care and therapeutic support within a safe, structured environment for individuals experiencing mental health and/or substance use crises. Behavioral Health Technician I (BHTI) provides direct care and therapeutic support. This role ensures a safe, structured environment for individuals experiencing mental health and/or substance use crises. Responsibilities include milieu management across the entire first floor, 1:1 engagement, crisis de-escalation, vitals measurement, medication administration, and safety checks.
Team 880 is a multidisciplinary team of clinicians, residential counselors, peer specialists, nurses, medical assistants, psychiatric and primary care nurse practitioners, and administrative staff.
The posted range represents the full hiring range. Offers will not exceed this range, the majority of candidates are placed near the midpoint based on experience and qualifications.

100% onsite, Full Time Wednesday - Friday: 7:00 pm - 7:00 am, Awake Overnight
Standing, walking, stooping, bending, lifting up to 50 lbs, repetitive hand/finger motions, manual dexterity. Requires fine motor skills required for precise clinical procedures. Requires visual and auditory acuity to observe patient behavior and respond to alarms and calls. Requires a capacity to handle emotionally charged situations and maintain professional boundaries. Requires critical thinking and problem-solving skills for diagnosis and treatment planning, and to prioritize multiple tasks and adapt to changing patient needs.
Exposure to infectious diseases, bodily fluids, and chemicals may occur; appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) is provided. Requires regular use of computers and medical equipment. May involve occasional evening or weekend hours depending on patient needs or clinic schedule. Work environment can be fast-paced and emotionally demanding, requiring adaptability and resilience. Noise level is generally moderate but may vary during peak patient flow. Occasional travel between clinical sites.
