Job summary

New Haven Residential Treatment Center is seeking Behavioral Health Technicians to support adolescent girls in a residential setting in Spanish Fork, Utah. You will provide direct care, participate in daily routines, and assist with therapeutic activities under clinical supervision.

Ideal candidates are interested in behavioral health, psychology, social work, or youth mentoring. Paid training is provided; on-site roles require a valid driver’s license and ability to pass a background check.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to pass a Utah State background check.
• Willingness to commit to a minimum of 8 months.
• Ability to obtain a Food Handler's Permit before the first day of work.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and behavioral health support to adolescent residents
• Lead and participate in daily routines, group activities, and therapeutic programming
• Support the development of healthy coping skills, communication, and emotional regulation
• Assist with minor food preparation and model healthy lifestyle habits
• Maintain a safe, structured, trauma-informed environment
• Collaborate with therapists and clinical staff to support individualized treatment plans
• Document daily progress notes and communicate key updates to leadership
• Use safe verbal de-escalation and physical intervention skills when needed

  • AM Shift: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM
  • PM Shift: 2:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Tuesday / Thursday / Saturday
  • AM Shift: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM
  • PM Shift: 2:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Every Other Sunday (Required)
  • Day Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
  • Evening Shift: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM

New Haven is hiring Behavioral Health Technicians / Mental Health Technicians to support adolescent girls in a residential treatment setting in Spanish Fork, Utah.

This role is a strong fit for candidates interested in behavioral health, psychology, social work, counseling, youth mentoring, or residential treatment. You’ll provide hands-on support through daily routines, group activities, coping skills, emotional regulation, and structured programming while working closely with therapists and clinical staff.
