Job summary

Reaching Beyond Limits Behavioral Health is seeking a dedicated Behavioral Technician to support children with autism and mental health diagnoses. You will implement treatment plans under a BCBA/LBS, collect progress data, and help clients build communication, daily living, and social skills.

The role involves 1:1 support across school, home, or day-care settings, collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, and ongoing professional growth within ABA practices.

Qualifications

• Experience with adults with Intellectual Disabilities preferred but not required.
• RBT 40 hour training completed within 2 weeks of hire, facilitation, training, and supervision provided by RBL BH.
• Valid driver's license and car insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct 1:1 behavior support to children/adolescents wherever needed (school, home, or day-care).
• Implement individualized treatment plans approved by a BCBA.
• Collaborate with other community-based team members, including the assigned BSC.
• Study all relevant records regarding the VIP you are assigned.
• Teach functional skills such as communication, daily living, vocational readiness, and coping strategies.
• Collect clear, accurate data to track progress and guide treatment decisions.
• Support adults in achieving meaningful goals—navigating the community, building relationships, or increasing self-advocacy.
• Use ABA strategies, supervise and train, and collaborate with families on strategies in the behavior plan.
• Complete all documentation and reports promptly.

As a Behavioral Technician, you'll play a hands‑on role in supporting children with autism and mental health diagnoses in building life skills, communicating, engaging socially, and learning strategies to manage their behavior. Guided by a Board‑Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or Licensed Behavior Specialist (LBS), you'll use evidence‑based practices to create positive change - one interaction at a time!

Essential Job Duties

• Provide direct 1:1 behavior support to children/adolescence wherever needed (school, home, or day‑care)
• Implement individualized treatment plans approved by a BCBA
• Collaboration with other community‑based team members, including the assigned BSC
• Study all relevant records regarding the VIP you are assigned
• Teach functional skills such as communication, daily living, vocational readiness, and coping strategies
• Collect clear, accurate data to track progress and guide treatment decisions.
• Support adults in achieving meaningful goals‑whether that's navigating the community, building relationships, or increasing self‑advocacy
• Use creative problem‑solving and compassion to overcome challenges and celebrate successes
• Collaborate with an upbeat, supportive team committed to professional growth and client‑centered care
• Accurately complete all documentation and reports of individuals (progress notes, recording data, mileage logs) and hand them in promptly when due
• Maintaining a good rapport with VIPs families continually
• Completing 24 hours of the required annual training
• Have reliable transportation to get to and from work, as well as to transport VIPs when needed
• Utilize Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) strategies, engage in supervision and training, and collaborate with the team, staff members, and families on the strategies outlined in the behavior plan

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to push/pull/lift up to 50 pounds

Education and Experience Requirements

• Previous professional and/or personal experience working with adults with Intellectual Disabilities is preferred, but not required.
• Valid driver's license and car insurance
• RBT 40 hour training completed within 2 weeks of hire, facilitation, training, and supervision is provided by RBL BH
