Job summary

Michigan Humane in Westland, MI is seeking a Behavior Evaluator to assess adoptability and identify training needs for shelter animals. This role involves documenting histories and coordinating behavior plans with staff and volunteers to support animal welfare.

You will ensure accurate records, track progress in the system, and contribute to a positive, collaborative work environment with flexible hours where possible.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of animal handling preferred.

  • Assign and complete behavior modification activities with animals.
  • Create or assist with additional training with other staff, volunteers, adopters, and fosters as needed.
  • Assist with relative duties at other shelters as needed.
