Job summary

Behavioral Development and Education Services (BDES), part of LEARN Behavioral, is seeking a BCBA Behavior Consultant in the New Bedford area. The role supports evidence-based ABA therapy for children with autism and involves collaboration with families and schools.

This position offers part-time and full-time hours, with an hourly rate and comprehensive benefits. You will supervise clinicians, analyze data, and lead program direction end-to-end.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in ABA or related field.
  • Minimum two years of BCBA experience.
  • Certification, registration, and/or license as required.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide oversight and supervision for your team and clients.
  • Mentor and support behavior technicians (BTs).
  • Write reports and conduct clinical reviews with funding sources.
  • Attend regional meetings for training and supervision.
  • Deliver individualized, person-centered care aligned with assent-based treatment.

BDES is hiring a Behavior Consultant (BCBA) to join them in providing high-quality, evidence-based, contemporary ABA therapy to children with autism. Our clinicians are committed to delivering individualized, person-centered care rooted in the principles of assent-based treatment. For more than 25 years, Behavioral Development and Education Services (BDES) has provided applied behavior analysis (ABA) and behavioral services to more than 500 students in 20+ elementary and middle schools across the greater New Bedford, MA School District.

BDES offers services in schools to help children build essential skills and achieve academic success. In addition to ABA and behavior services, BDES provides family counseling, Individualized Education Program (IEP) development, and consultation services for the family and school administrators.

As a Behavior Consultant at BDES, you’ll not only have access to experienced local clinical leadership and support, but you’ll also be part of LEARN Behavioral—a collective group of ABA providers delivering collaborative care to communities from coast-to-coast. LEARN employs over 500 BCBAs and offers services in 18 states, and our average clinical leader has been with the organization for 10 years.

What You Have
  • Master’s degree or higher
  • Minimum two years of experience as a BCBA
  • Certification, registration, and/or license as required by local statutes to deliver behavior treatment
  • Exceptional professional, interpersonal, and communication skills (written and vocal)

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Provide oversight and supervision for your team and clients
  • Mentor and support behavior technicians (BTs) (note: all our BTs go through competency-based training)
  • Write reports and conduct clinical reviews with funding sources
  • Attend monthly regional meetings for ongoing training and supervisionConduct regular parent/caregiver trainings for family members
  • Treat the safety of clients and others involved in each case as a top priority
  • Consult with clients and provides continuous program direction and maintenance
  • Analyze data/behavior and makes data-based decisions
  • Guide ongoing implementation of teaching procedures
  • Ensure program directives from senior clinical team are implemented accurately and timely
  • Deliver individualized, person-centered care rooted in the principles of assent-based treatment
