Position Overview
Weare seeking a dedicated and innovative Behavior Consultant tojoin our team at HeartSOS. In this role, you will workclosely with clients to implement evidence-based strategiesthat enhance socially significant behaviors and addresschallenges impacting their quality of life. You will be partof a supportive and collaborative team that providescomprehensive care tailored to the unique needs of eachclient. This position offers paid training and free supervisionfor those with clinical aspirations.
Key Responsibilities
- Natural Environment Behavior Guidance: Implement behavior guidance strategies innatural settings to promote meaningful and sustainable progress.
- Relationship Strengthening: Fosterstrong, trusting relationships with clients throughco-regulation and guided participation.
- Regulation & Emotional Control: Apply trauma-responsive techniques to helpclients develop self-regulation and emotional control.
- Evidence-Based Strategies: Utilize coreABA principles to enhance socially significant behaviors andaddress those that impede quality of life.
- Neurodevelopmental Focus: Supportsocial, emotional, and cognitive development by targetingspecific DSM-5 criteria.
- Person-Centered Progress: Collaboratewith clients to identify areas of greatest impact andprioritize their self-advocacy and personal goals.
- Comprehensive Support: Provide holisticsupport systems to address co-occurring conditions, such asPTSD and ASD, ensuring inclusive care.
Requirements
- Master’sdegree in Psychology, Applied Behavior Analysis, Social Work,Special Education, or a related field is required
- BCBA,LCSW, LMHC or equivalent certification preferred (or working towards)
- Experienceworking with individuals with disabilities or special needs
- Strongunderstanding of evidence-based ABA strategies andneurodevelopmental approaches
- Excellentcommunication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Abilityto work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team
