Qualifications
  • Experience with behavioral intervention and/or a strong educational background in learning and developmental psychology.
  • At least two years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or behaviorally challenged populations.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, such as standing for extended periods, bending, and moving from seated to standing positions.
  • State-specific requirements:
    • Illinois: BCBA, Licensed Clinical Psychologist, BCaBA, or a bachelor’s degree with 1500 hours of supervised experience by a Licensed Psychologist or BCBA.
    • Indiana: Master’s degree in a human-related field (e.g., BCBA, Licensed Psychologist, Licensed Counselor).
    • Kentucky: Master’s degree in a human-related field and 2 years of experience (e.g., BCBA, Licensed Psychologist, Licensed Counselor).
    • Georgia: Master’s degree in psychology, special education, counseling, social work, or related field, OR BCBA, Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Social Worker, or Licensed Psychologist/Psychiatrist. At least 2 years of experience in positive behavioral supports and documented coursework in Applied Behavior Analysis.
    • California: BCBA or BCaBA certification required.
    • Virginia: BCBA, BCaBA, Licensed Psychologist, PBSF, LPC, LSW, or LCSW with training or coursework in Applied Behavior Analysis.
    • Texas: Licensed Psychologist, Psychological Associate, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Professional Counselor, or BCBA.
External Job Responsibilities
  • Conduct ongoing assessments tailored to patient needs.
  • Communicate progress with supervisors, staff, family, and guardians.
  • Provide monthly schedules for appointments, visits, and observations.
  • Coordinate community-based visits for assessments, reviews, and data collection.
  • Ensure proper implementation of Behavior Intervention Plans.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary and other relevant meetings.
  • Complete progress notes regularly.
  • Organize staff training on Behavior Intervention Plan implementation.
  • Follow-up with home visits and observations for continued support.
  • Maintain comprehensive clinical records.
  • Act as a liaison with the community and mental health services.
  • Help develop training procedures to improve programs.
  • Engage in ongoing education on behavioral interventions to stay current.
