Job DetailsJob Location: Austin, TX 78745Salary Range: $25.00 - $26.00 Hourly

Primary Responsibilities
  • Support ABA programming during sessions by ensuring individualized programs are implemented accurately in clinic-based and small-group settings, as directed by the supervising BCBA.
  • Deliver direct 1:1 and/or small-group services when assigned, using procedures aligned with behavior intervention plans and skill acquisition programs.
  • Collect, record, and maintain reliable data in Central Reach or other clinic systems as instructed; ensure data is complete, legible, and submitted on time.
  • Assist with treatment fidelity by monitoring session implementation and communicating barriers or needs to the BCBA.
  • Support program revisions indirectly by compiling data summaries, identifying trends, and providing feedback to the BCBA to support updates (BCBA retains final decision-making).
  • Write or draft behavioral documentation components as assigned (e.g., session notes, data summaries, ABC notes, communication logs), following clinic templates and BCBA standards.
  • Participate in supervision meetings and respond to coaching, feedback, and training tasks.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries at all times in accordance with HIPAA and agency policies.
  • Support client transitions and clinic routines, including room changes, scheduled activities, and consistent treatment environment expectations.
  • Contribute to a safe, organized therapy environment through following crisis prevention procedures and clinic safety protocols.
  • Assist with clinic operations and preparation tasks as needed (e.g., room setup, materials preparation, sanitizing, and safety checks).
  • Maintain consistent attendance to support client progress, staffing needs, and continuity of care.
  • Perform duties as assigned by the BCBA or administrative team based on training and competence.
Skills & Abilities
  • Understand behavioral concepts and apply them appropriately in real-time clinical settings.
  • Use sound judgment and make ethical decisions consistent with ABA practice, agency standards, and supervisory guidance.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, caregivers, and clinic team members.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and complete required reports within established timelines.
  • Use ABA software/systems (e.g., Central Reach) to record and track clinical information.
  • Apply training effectively and remain open to supervision, correction, and coaching.
  • Support crisis prevention and safely respond to behavioral incidents according to protocol.
  • Collaborate with BCBAs, RBTs/BTs, and multidisciplinary clinic team members.
  • Demonstrate appropriate professional conduct and continuous supervision of clients during all treatment activities.
Education & Experience

Required

  • Currently enrolled in, or has completed, coursework toward BCBA eligibility (e.g., graduate coursework aligned with ABA/behavior analysis).
  • Minimum experience working with children (or relevant behavioral/clinical experience) preferred based on agency training plan.

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in psychology, education, or a related field.
  • Experience working with individuals with autism or developmental needs.
  • Experience collecting behavior data and/or supporting treatment implementation under supervision.
Required Certifications & Agency Training
  • CPR / First Aid / AED
  • HIPAA training (annual renewal required)
  • Crisis Prevention / Intervention (annual renewal)
  • RBT Pathway-Related Training / Competency Support (as required by role expectations and agency training plan)
  • Any additional agency or state-required trainings
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift, push, or carry up to 35 lbs.
  • Ability to sit on the floor, kneel, bend, squat, or stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to move quickly to maintain client safety during behavioral incidents.
  • Ability to run short distances or position self near clients as needed.
  • Ability to support or guide clients safely during escalated behaviors.
  • Ability to transition between therapy rooms and clinic spaces throughout the day.
