Cherry Creek Careers is seeking an energetic Before and After School Leader to support the program director in planning and implementing a high-quality child care program. You will foster strong relationships with school communities, parents, and staff while assisting with daily operations and program quality.

The role requires adhering to licensing requirements, supervising students, and contributing to lesson plans and enrichment activities.

• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required.
• Leader must be 18 or older.
• Must demonstrate ability to work with children; at least one of: 3+ months of verified supervisory experience, or an early childhood credential (version 3.0) at level I or higher.
• Annual clock hours training required (Jun 1–May 31).
• Knowledge of childcare basics; ability to enforce discipline.
• Some leadership and management skill; strong communication skills; CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain within 30 days.

Responsabilidades

• Follow and enforce Colorado Department of Early Childhood licensing requirements daily (15%).
• Supervise and engage with students during program times (15%).
• Maintain clear communication with parents, students, staff, and colleagues (10%).
• Keep safety conditions for students and staff (10%).
• Promote the program for before/after care and full days (5%).
• Attend professional development trainings as required (5%).
• Assist with implementing quality lesson plans and daily operations (15%).
• Assist with maintenance and storage of equipment and supplies (5%).
• Contribute ideas for enrichment activities and program quality (5%).
• Create and implement activities and field trips for full-day programs (5%).
• Attend monthly program staff meetings (5%).
• Perform other duties as assigned (5%).

JOB SUMMARY

Assist the program director to plan and implement the child care program. Develops and promotes good community relations among various community and school clientele. Assists director and/or assistant director to prepare and implement quality programming.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS

This job has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

The minimum prerequisites of formal education, professional work experience, certifications, licenses, endorsements, designations, trainings, and other criteria that a candidate must fulfill to be considered for a position. It is essential that certifications, licenses, endorsements, designations, and trainings are fulfilled, valid, and not expired.

• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required
• The Before and After School Leader must be age 18 or over
• A Leader must demonstrate ability to work with children, and must have completed at least one (1) of the following qualifications:
  • a. Must have at least three (3) months (455 hours) of verified experience in the care and supervision of four (4) or more children over the ages of four (4) who are not related to the individual;
  • b. A current early childhood professional credential level I one (1) or higher in version 3.0 as determined by the Department based on its Early Childhood Professional Credential 3.0 Worksheet
• Each year, June 1 through May 31, the leader must complete at least 15 clock hours of training
• Knowledge of most aspects of childcare
• Ability to develop and utilize appropriate discipline procedures
• Some leadership and management skill
• Ability to make appropriate decisions and to solve problems effectively
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Current CPR/First Aid Certification or ability to obtain within 30 days

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

• Light work strength level (lifting or carrying up to 25 pounds)
