Job summary

Lakeville Area Schools ISD 194 seeks a Kid Zone Instructor to develop and lead engaging activities for students in grades K–5. You will create theme-based curricula, ensure safety, and provide outstanding customer service, helping students stay safe, supported, and inspired.

You will work with groups in classrooms, cafeterias, gyms, and during field trips, delivering high-quality care in a flexible environment. CPR/First Aid is required, and a B.A./B.S. in Elementary Education is preferred.

Qualifications

• Proficient in computer use and basic tech.
• Ability to thrive in high-volume settings and outdoor conditions.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development, implementation, and evaluation of school-age care and enrichment activities for grades K–5.

As a Kid Zone Instructor, you will develop, implement, and lead engaging activities for students in grades K–5. This role provides the opportunity to create exciting learning experiences, build strong relationships, and ensure students are safe, supported, and inspired every day.

Your Role Will Include

• Assisting in the development, implementation, and evaluation of school-age care and enrichment activities, programs, and services for children grades K–5.
• Creating and implementing age-appropriate, theme-based curriculum that aligns with the Minnesota School Age Indicators of Progress.
• Providing a high standard of customer service—serving as the primary contact for program-specific needs, problem solving, conflict resolution, and ensuring accommodations for all participants.
• Working directly with both large and small groups of children in a variety of settings, including classrooms, cafeterias, gyms, playgrounds, and during field trips.

Qualifications

• B.A. or B.S. Degree in Elementary Education. (Preferred).
• Current CPR and First Aid certification. (Required).
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in high-volume settings and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Proficient in computer use.

Salary And Benefits

• $26.57 - $29.92 per hour, depending on education and experience.
• Personal time, sick time, and paid holidays.
• Full benefits for employees working 30+ hours per week.

Location & Shift Times

• Hours per day varies Monday - Friday
• Minimum of 30 hours per week
• Locations vary
• 183 days a year plus field trips
