Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic School in Miami, Florida, is looking for an energetic, responsible, and organized part-time Before and After School Care Counselor to supervise children in the Care Programs. This employee must engage with the students during outside activities, homework time and in a classroom setting. The candidate performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision and values of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami.

Schedule: Monday-Friday: 6:35 a.m.- 8 a.m. and again from 2:00 p.m.- 6:00 p.m.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED equivalent required; Associate’s degree preferred.
• Department of Children and Family 40-hour training and certification preferred; if candidate does not possess training, must be willing to obtain its completion within the first year of employment.
• Ability to plan and supervise both indoor and outdoor activities, including homework time.
• Virtus Certified or ready to obtain certification.
• Excellent oral and written English communication skills, including clear speaking voice.
• Good spelling and grammar required.
• Supportive and respectful of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church; experience in Roman Catholic environment preferred.
• Knowledge of the basic tenets of the Catholic Church.
