Healthy Kids Programs is hiring a School-Age Childcare Assistant for the Before and After School Program at Crothersville Elementary School in Crothersville, IN for the 2026–2027 school year.

The role follows the school calendar with a part-time, non-exempt status and a pay of $14.50 per hour. Morning and afternoon shifts are offered (6:45 AM–8:00 AM and 2:30 PM–6:00 PM), with opportunities for both. Emphasis on safe, engaging care and teamwork with families.

Qualifications

• 18 years or older with a High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1 year of experience working with kids under 13 preferred
• Health clearance including TB screening per state regulations
• Positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and reliability
• Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds while engaging with children

Responsibilities

• Facilitate hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum (fitness, STEAM, academic, art, and homework)
• Provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment and act as a positive role model for children
• Observe state guidelines, program policies, and school rules
• Support program operations including attendance, registration, and staffing
