Job summary

Academy of Classical Education at Covington in Covington, LA is seeking a part-time Before & After Care Worker to help maintain a safe, orderly environment in the cafeteria, playground and designated areas, supervising students during before and after school programs in line with school procedures.

You will reflect a professional image, resolve conflicts with children and parents, and support homework tutoring and snack distribution, reporting to the program Director and school principal.

• Previous experience as daycare assistant or summer camp counselor, preferred.

As a Before & After Care Worker, you will be r esponsible for assisting in maintenance of an orderly, safe and pleasant atmosphere in the cafeteria, on the playground and in other designated locations by helping and supervising students during authorized before or after school programs in accordance with CSUSA policy and established school procedures.

• Candidates must be able to resolve conflicts with children and parents, possess the ability to be firm but friendly, and must be able to be courteous and professional when dealing with parents, children, and other co-workers. Program assistant reports to the Director of the Before and After Care Program and to the school principal.
