Job summary

Weis Markets, Inc. is seeking a courteous cashier to greet customers, process transactions, and help maintain clean, well-stocked checkout areas in our Pennsylvania store.

Responsibilities include operating the POS, bagging merchandise, and ensuring accurate, secure cash handling while following all store guidelines. Training is provided and the role supports a team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required.
• Candidates must be at least 21 years of age to work within the Beer and Wine Cafe.
• Completed or working towards a High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and discuss needs, offer suggestions, and resolve concerns politely.
• Operate scanning equipment and cash register, bag merchandise, and ensure accurate checkout.
• Maintain accurate cash handling and follow security procedures to avoid discrepancies.
• Follow store guidelines for alcohol sales and other product categories at the register.
• Assist with receiving and stocking deliveries; training provided as needed.
• Ensure merchandise is fresh, properly priced, and displays are maintained.
• Maintain sanitation and cleanliness in the department and adhere to health/OSHA standards.
