Job summary

Lowes Foods, LLC is seeking a Beer Den/Wine Clerk to engage guests, educate them on beer and wine options, and support in-store promotions. You will handle growlers, maintain displays, and assist with inventory while ensuring compliance with ALE laws and company policies.

The role requires friendly, sales-focused individuals who can work with store managers and vendors to provide a welcoming guest experience and accurate product information. 21+ and ability to lift items is expected.

Qualifications

• Working understanding of beer and wine.
• Is familiar with ALE laws governing sell, and purchasing of beer and wine products.
• Sales minded with effective communication, guest service and selling skills.

Responsibilities

• Educate guests on product attributes and information and provide guidance for specific needs/preferences.
• Ensure marketing and brand materials and tools are properly displayed, maintained and utilized including, signage, prices, flyers, etc.
• Maintain the sanitation and appearance of the Beer Den/Sunmill Wines.
• Work with category managers and suppliers to ensure proper pricing and product selection.
• Train other Beer Den/Wine clerks and ensure information is correct and available for all hosts who work in the Beer Den/Sunmill Wines.
• Conduct tastings as needed in the Beer Den/Sunmill Wines as well as for in-store demos or promotions.
• Follow all state laws governing the sampling, sale and purchasing of beer and wine.
• Wash and prepare growlers according to established practices.
• Fill growlers upon request by the guest according to established filling, sealing and labeling standards.
• Maintain inventory of growlers, glass, lids and all other Beer Den and wine supplies through monitoring and ordering.
• Announce specials and sale information on the PA system.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
