Homestead Gardens is seeking a Bar Back / Beer Garden Support Crew member for The Beer Farm in Davidsonville, MD. This seasonal role involves keeping the beer garden and bar area clean, stocked, and guest-ready while supporting bartenders during busy times.

You’ll lift heavy items, work outdoors in varied weather, and ensure safe, sanitary service. High school diploma required; prior bar/restaurant experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Keep the beer garden, bar, tables, and walkways clean and guest-ready.

• Stock ice, glassware, kegs, and bar supplies.
• Jump in to support bartenders during busy times.
• Help move tables, equipment, and supplies as needed.
• Assist guests and keep operations running smoothly.
• Help with opening, closing, and event setup/breakdown.
• Follow safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol service rules.

Love being outdoors? Don’t mind staying busy? We’re looking for a Bar Back / Beer Garden Support Crew member to help keep The Beer Farm at Homestead Gardens clean, stocked, and ready for a great time. You’ll be the behind-the-scenes hero who keeps the beer flowing and the space looking its best.

What You’ll Do

• Keep the beer garden, bar, tables, and walkways clean and guest-ready
• Clean and restock restrooms throughout your shift
• Take out trash, recycling, and compost
• Stock ice, glassware, kegs, and bar supplies
• Jump in to support bartenders during busy times
• Help move tables, equipment, and supplies (yes, there’s lifting involved)
• Assist guests with basic questions and keep things running smoothly
• Help with opening, closing, and event setup/breakdown
• Follow safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol service rules

Required Education

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Required Experience

• Previous experience in a bar or restaurant setting is preferred.
• Experience in customer service or hospitality roles is advantageous.

Required Skills and Abilities

• Ability to lift and move heavy kegs, cases, and other bar supplies.
• Strong organizational skills to maintain cleanliness and order in the bar area.
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Basic knowledge of beer types and bar equipment is beneficial.
• Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
