Job summary

UPMC Presbyterian is seeking a Capacity Management Coordinator (Clerical Support) in Pittsburgh, PA. This full-time role supports the capacity management team to ensure safe patient throughput and smooth admissions, primarily via phone interactions with patients and coordination with the Administrator on Duty.

The position involves rotating shifts, weekends, and evenings, and offers opportunities for growth within the department.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of customer service experience.
• Proficiency with MS Office and typing.
• Good interpersonal and written/verbal communication.
• Ability to work under pressure and multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Maintain customer confidence and protect information confidentiality.
• Provide technical support for pre-admit issues and bed board training.
• Assist with appropriate flow of admissions.
• Deliver excellent customer service with courtesy and respect to patients.
• Research and draft routine reports.
• Coordinate with the Administrator on Duty to manage patient flow from ED and other facilities.
• Provide general clerical support to the department and maintain files.
