Summary

Provide personalized beauty experiences through makeup application, skincare analysis, and product recommendations while maximizing sales for luxury beauty brands in a department store setting. Engage customers both in-store and digitally, build customer loyalty, and support team goals in the Downtown Seattle beauty department.

Responsibilities

• Conduct makeup applications and skincare analyses, recommending products aligned with customer goals
• Engage customers to build relationships and drive sales both in-store and via digital tools, including text and social media
• Book appointments and drive sales for in-store beauty events and services
• Collaborate with team members to create a welcoming and inclusive environment and maintain department organization and cleanliness
• Manage sales transactions, refunds, exchanges, and open customer accounts to build loyalty
• Participate in brand and product trainings to stay current on beauty trends and product knowledge

Requirements

• Passion for beauty, makeup application, and skincare with strong customer service skills
• Ability to connect with customers, handle concerns empathetically, and contribute to a positive team environment
• Strong multitasking, organization, and follow-through; drive to achieve sales goals using networking and technology
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
• Physical ability to be on feet and move continuously for 6-8 hours per shift, with frequent bending, reaching, and use of hands; regularly lift up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds
