Job summary

Ulta Beauty seeks a Beauty Advisor to deliver an exceptional guest experience. You will greet customers, assess their needs, perform makeup applications and skincare analysis, and drive sales through product recommendations and in-store events.

You will maintain store appearance, restock fixtures, assist with cashier duties, schedule appointments, and stay knowledgeable about new products while delivering friendly, informed service in a fast-paced team environment.

Qualifications

• 1 year of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience preferred
• Demonstrates a passion for guest service and competency for selling
• Proficient with basic technology (e.g., Point of Sale system and Apple devices)
• Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships
• Ability to troubleshoot
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities

• Contribute to meeting or exceeding the store’s goals related to retail and service sales, guest loyalty and omni-channel sales
• Ensure that each guest receives exceptional service by greeting and engaging each guest and personalizing service
• Courteously handle customer service, sales, refunds, and exchanges and assist with on-line orders
• Perform makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations with guests to drive sales and the guest service experience
• Book appointments for and support the execution of services and in-store events
• Stay informed regarding new and existing products and services to better serve guests
• Maintain prompt, regular attendance
• Be knowledgeable of and ensure compliance with Ulta Beauty’s policies and standards
• Adhere to Ulta Beauty’s dress code
• Drive sales by keeping the salesfloor replenished and tester availability
• Maintain store cleanliness and overall store standards
