Role Description

The Beauty Advisor is a full-time, on-site role based in Alexandria, VA, focused on delivering exceptional client experiences in-store. Day-to-day, the Beauty Advisor greets and engages clients, listens to their needs, and provides personalized product recommendations across skincare, makeup, fragrance, and haircare. The role includes demonstrating products, educating clients on techniques and ingredients, and assisting with color matching and skincare consultations. Beauty Advisors maintain visual standards, restock shelves, and support store cleanliness and organization. They contribute to sales goals by driving retail transactions, building client loyalty, and participating in trainings to stay current on new brands, launches, and trends.

Qualifications

• Strong customer-facing skills, including Customer Service and Retail Sales, with a focus on creating welcoming, inclusive experiences.
• Solid Product Knowledge across beauty categories, including Skin Care, makeup, fragrance, and haircare, with the ability to explain benefits and usage clearly.
• Background or education in or related beauty fields is highly beneficial, including practical experience with application techniques.
• Ability to work onsite part time in Alexandria, VA, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate in a team environment.
• Demonstrated commitment to diversity, inclusion, and serving clients of all backgrounds and identities.
• Previous retail or beauty industry experience preferred; ongoing willingness to learn and participate in Sephora training programs.
