Job summary

Copeland is seeking a Lead Technician for the OFC bearing assembly lab in Sidney, OH. You will oversee a team of technicians, assign work, and ensure on-time delivery of bearing assemblies for HVACR systems.

This is a 3rd shift role with structured breaks and a strong focus on safety and process discipline. You will mentor technicians, help develop testing procedures, and work closely with product and research engineers to improve the bearing assembly process while maintaining compliance with

• Associate degree or certificate in technical discipline with 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to collaborate with product engineering and lead technicians to meet program deadlines.
• Proven computer skills including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong communication and leadership experience; mentor technicians.

We are seeking a lead technician to contribute to our overall growth and continued innovation in our HVACR labs, specifically the OFC bearing assembly lab.**AS THE 3*****rd*** **SHIFT OFC BEARING LEAD TECHNICIAN, YOU WILL:*** Lead a team of technicians that will assemble oil-free centrifugal bearings at our bearing lab on Stolle Avenue* Assign work daily to meet customer demands and program deadlines* Communicate daily schedule, concerns, and updates through supervisor and engineering teams* Provide training and onboarding of new hires* Become proficient in the bearing assembly process and assist in improvements, changes, and problem solving* Provide performance coaching and mentorship to technicians* Support technicians and management to create a safe and clean work environment using 5s+1 techniques and current safety procedures* Support hands on work as needed**SCHEDULE:**This is a 3rd shift position with a flexible start time of 11:00 PM or 11:30 PM. 8 hour working shifts are required with a 30-minute unpaid lunch. We also offer 2, 10-minute breaks throughout the day. Our teams work together to ensure our chosen work schedules enable our creativity and productivity as we serve the needs of our customers.**REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:*** Associate degree or Certificate in technical discipline and three (3+) years relevant experience* Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving skills* Demonstrated ability to resolve complex projects into actionable tasks, create realistic timelines, and execute tasks* Ability to effectively collaborate with other groups and product engineering* Proven computer skills including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint* Exceptional communication (written & verbal) skills and team lead or management experience* Experience in developing testing procedures, training documents, and creating logs of critical lab operational records* Legal Authorization to work in the United States.
